Hello! I’m Mary Parker, a potter based in Raleigh, North Carolina. My journey with clay began in 2015 at Appalachian State University, where I fell in love with ceramics during my very first class. Since then, pottery has become my passion and my creative outlet.
I describe my work as lighthearted and nostalgic, often infused with a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor inspired by my Southern roots and reflections on capitalism. Each piece features intricately painted designs that invite you to smile, reminisce, and appreciate the playful side of functional art.
Beyond creating pottery, I am dedicated to sharing my love for ceramics with others. I teach high school ceramics and offer workshops to the public, believing that knowledge and creativity grow best when shared. I’m also deeply involved in the Raleigh arts community, hosting art and craft pop-up markets that bring makers and neighbors together.
Community and connection are at the heart of everything I do. Whether you’re here to find a unique piece, learn a new skill, or join a vibrant creative community, I’m thrilled to welcome you to my world of clay.
